A Doctoral research scholarship in Materials Science & Engineering aimed at improving the advanced manufacturing capability of Australian enterprises.
A fully funded 3-year PhD position is available in the Department of Engineering at La Trobe University in the field of Advanced Materials to start in early 2017. This exciting role forms part of a collaboration between the university and a research partner involved in the production of advanced metal products by additive manufacturing. The project will involve the processing, design and validation of alloys and processes for demanding applications.
Applicants should hold a first class honours degree or Masters degree in a related engineering or science disciplineand be eligible to work in Australia. Experience with Non-destructive testing as well as advanced CAD & CAE packages would be desirable.
